Thank You for taking the time to view my site. My Kennel name is Miracle Kennels. I would like to share some information about myself; some of my accomplishments and some pictures of my four legged friends.
I have been showing and breeding dogs for over 20 years. In 2008 , I had the oppunitury to show my Borzoi, Champion Porcelin Dusha Brize, aka Windy in New York at the West Minister Show. She and 2 of her sisters were shown at that time. We had a wonderful time.
Champion Cappies Dark Water, aka Cappie was my first show miniature poodle that I championed. He had several of his puppies go on to become champions as well. I have shown and championed several different breeds of dogs, such as, Miniture Poodles, Chinese Crested, Greyhound, Borzoi, Afghan Hound, and Standard Longhaired Dachshunds. I show both AKC (American Kennel Club) and UKC (United Kennel Club). At this time I have a litter of standard Longhaire dachshunds that are out of my Champion Dollidacks Mend A Broken Heart, aka Cher and the sire is Sleepy Hollows Caboose.
In the spring of 2013, I plan on breeding one of my Miniture Poodles. My Blue and White Parti , UKC Grand Champion Accapella's Butterfly Kisses, aka Bessie. My goal is to establish a line of healthy and strong miniature parti poodles that will not only show well in the conformation ring , but compete in other activities for the advancement of their popularity. The parti poodle is very popular and at present can be shown in UKC conformation shows, various other activies in both AKC and UKC. They are shown in the USA, Europe and soon to be allowed in Canada . At the present time AKC does not allow the parti poodles to be shown in conformation shows; but they are allowed in all other events.
I also have the standard longhaired dachshunds. I can assure you that regardless of the breed; I make sure that all of my dogs have genetic health tests done before they are bred and they are bred to dogs that have also been tested and passed. Nothing is bred that does not have normal results . We strive for beautiful , smart and healthy dogs.
I was one of the first 600 National Master Groomers when the NDGA was started; and I have maintained my Master Groomer Certification since the beginning of this association. Continuing education is a part of my work schedule. I work with new and established owners helping to train their pets and/or to retrain their thinking pertaining to animal behavior.
At one time I enjoyed competion grooming and had a lot of fun competing. And still enjoy going to the competion grooming seminars, however now I prefer to devote my time to the breeding of poodles and dachshunds and showing all breeds of dogs.
At the present time I maintain two locations, one in Kitty Hawk, North Carolina and the other in Afton, Virginia.
